ok so I went to verizon last night to look at the 8300 and saw the V what is better.

8300 FTW!! Sal (actually the 8100 same thing right?), Genie and I have it it totally kicks ass!

don't get the V, they are coming out with a new version of it within a month

where did you hear they are coming out with a new V in a month? If that's the case I may wait to see if it has anything new or special but i need a new phone ASAP.

i have the V thats out now, its an excellent phone. all of verizon uses the same software for their phones so thats no longer a deciding factor. i like my phone. its very similar to the 8300 except for the qwerty keyboard. if you can find a use for the keyboard (i send alot of texts) and you dont mind it's size, get the V. if you dont care for the keyboard and/or would like the smaller phone, get the 8300.

as for the new V coming out, i heard this from a friend. pretty reliable source granted he used to work at verizon, but no where near 100% sure.
