no thanks, all the money i have is going to go into my new motor..

Tru2Chevy 11-07-2006 01:37 PM

Matt, if he's gonna let it go for a reasonable price, I would get it. Shop manuals are ten times as detailed (and accurate) as the standard Haynes or Chilton manuals. They can come in very handy.....

ryanfx 11-07-2006 08:56 PM

I would honestly get it matt. I got a shop manual for my car, was a silly ammount of money (near or exceeding 100 bucks, I forgot) but it has absolutely everything you could need to know regarding fixing your car... including swapping an entire motor.

Batman 11-08-2006 07:27 AM

Shott me $20 bucks Matt, to cover shipping and a couple dollar sin my pocket. Book cost $110.00 new. I'm not looking for a fortune for it, just thought you might need it.

since he has "no need" for it, you should keep it and charge him for the answers every time he has a question

Batman 11-08-2006 07:40 AM

I'm just trying to help him. I remember how valuable it was when I had my first 84.

Matt I bought my 88 Shop Manual right after I got the car. I agree with everyone else - it is a must. The exploded diagrams of the various parts of the car are invaluable, as are the wiring diagrams of the wire harnesses if you ever plan to put new ones in, or modify the car like adding power door locks that weren't there before.

Definately do it for $20. I paid $70 on ebay for mine.

Batman 11-08-2006 11:14 AM
