New Windows WOO HOOO

ok, so i bought a house that is nearly 100 years old last year and the windows are all original. Last years heating bills were insane. I just ordered a whole set of replacement windows for the house and they should be here in about 2-3 weeks. I can't wait to sit in my L/R and not have my toes go numb due to the freaking wind blowing through the crap I have now....

Home value increase anyone??? LOL

It'd help if you turned the heat on you know. :)

Congrats. Wanna pay for our bathroom so our home value will increase as well? ;)

I live in a house that was built in 1947, and the old windows sucked BIG time. Ya'd freeze in the winter and bake in the summer. I had all the windows replaced, and now it is like a totally different house. We saved quite a bit on our heating bills last winter.

i think my house is older, when my parents had the front porch torn up i found a license plate from 1936, too bad it was solid rust or i'd have found a better way to keep it.... think whats left i still have
[when we moved in my parents either had the windows redone or they were recently done before we moved in i don't remember]

when my parents were redoing some walls in the older section of the house, they found crumpled up paper as insulation. One peice of paper was a tax bill from 1911. $42 for like 5 acres...haha.
