need ASAP

Cheap 3000 stall for a 84 700r4

and a holley 750 carb

Jared1970Chevelle 11-27-2006 12:48 PM

from what you were tellin me in the past, a 750 might be to big for your setup i do have a holley 600cfm for sale

Tru2Chevy 11-27-2006 02:22 PM

I think a 750 is a good size for a street/strip 400sbc. 600 would be too small once you started winding that motor up a bit.

:werd: the 600 was WAYYYY too small for my 327. I dont know Matts setup, but I know I had to come up quite a bit in carb flow. The 600 was killing alot of my performance. 700-750 would be good for Matts motor.

hardline_42 11-28-2006 09:51 PM

Matt, just curious, why are you so dead set on a holley carb versus any other 750 CFM?

nj85z28 11-28-2006 11:11 PM

holley=crap btw

WayFast84 11-30-2006 06:01 PM

Ive heard bads things about edelbrock carbs, holleys are cheap and heard good things about them..

The three main things i need to get this going are

stall,gears and a carb.

bad64chevelle 11-30-2006 07:11 PM

edelbrock carbs have been nothing but a problem for me. The only time ive seen it work good was in my dads 35 chevy PU, that has a stock 307 in it.

EVIL90SS 12-11-2006 07:57 PM

Rob WS6 12-11-2006 08:26 PM

how nice is this 700r4?

Rob WS6 12-30-2006 07:05 PM

Its got 50k miles on it, was on the l98 combo that I had bought from LethalRides. Very nice combo both of them, but I have no need for any 700r4's. Ill take $200 for the tranny and stock converter, $350 with the 2800-3000 stall.
