Have you ever asked yourself "why did I sell it"?

I've had enough Camaros and trucks and there are definitely several I wished I had kept. But in the end, the current car being sold leads to the next treasure I guess. I can't complain about the 2 current Camaros I have but I still wish I had the 96SS, the 93 Pace Car, the 68 LT1 car, the 68 SS396 conv, the 454SS pickup(although I didn't want the gas mileage), the 67 RS/SS with 454...

I still can't believe I sold this car for $12K with the 94 LT1/4L60 and 4 wheel disc brakes!

Not me. The few I sold I always wanted to get rid of and enjoyed what came next.

My dilema is - do I sell my current one and just take the 2nd gen plunge?

yeah but when was that?

baddest434 11-30-2006 09:54 PM

 way back in 1974. i beat the snot out of it but it was in great shape. i traded someone a 1970 ford "hippy ass van" that i paid 1000.00 for. he wanted it cause it got all the ladies . he even gave me one of those stupid vw dune buggy things that were around back then. i took the 1500.00 and went to florida with 2 chicks for 2 weeks. boy what a tool i was. today that car would be worth a nice penny!

I regret selling my GTA. I miss haveing a second gen too, but I miss the GTA more.

Jeff, thats nuts that you sold that 68/LT1 car for that little!

I've been missing my 79Trans Am lately. I used to love driving that car to work...an Olds 455, TH400, and 2.43 gears made for some nice top end.

BonzoHansen 12-01-2006 05:47 AM

I miss my 82 from time to time. I think because I have no running V8 car right now. :)

I remember this car. I've still got one of the slips of paper you had on it with the description. That was/is a real nice car, I remember going back and forth about buying it.

I sold my 1969 firebird to a german national. I wish i would've shipped it back. Not enough performance parts in germany to do what i wanted with her. I'd sell anything to get her back.

Savage_Messiah 12-01-2006 01:56 PM

ummm.... i still have my first car

ar0ck 12-01-2006 03:06 PM

The only thing I regret about my last car was who I sold it to.

V 12-01-2006 05:10 PM

well, i wish i still had my 95 STS... i traded it in on my SS. That car was awesome... but its better that i got rid of it...i kept blowing freeze out plugs and shattering shifter solenoids, plus it was burning a lot of oil towards the end... i guess caddys dont like to be drag raced....

+1. going from an 8 to 6 is nothing but a slow road...

bitchincamaro 12-01-2006 10:56 PM

i dont think i ever sold anything i actually cared about. everything i own is usually a piece of ****. lately i've been thinking about selling my camaro.

i usually ask myself, "why did i buy it?", rather then, "why did i sell it".

NJSPEEDER 12-02-2006 12:21 PM

here's the thing a lot of you guys don't understand about jeff, he could post pictures of a few dozen "why did he sell that?" cars he has owned over the year.
you still say you have to keep the JL8 car long enough for at least one trip around the block, and maybe a hole shot down your street :D

I almost backed out of the sale of my 82. I had only dealt with the father. I drove it down to his house to finalize the sale & drop it off. He bought it for his daughter, who just turned 18 or just got her license or something like that. Young girl. She was about 5’ tall and probably weighed 100 pounds wet. I had instant visions of her wrecking my car and killing herself. Too much car for a new driver, especially a little thing like that. Hell, if I hadn’t put power seats in, she probably couldn’t have reached the pedals.

They lived down off rt. 72. I live in Belmar, worked in Freehold. So I never expected to see the car again. But the next day on my way home from work, the car flew past me on 524 in Howell. I almost hit a tree. And that little girl was right up on the steering wheel. I never saw it again.

I car faxed it a few years ago. The last entry was the registration the day after I sold it. I don’t even want to know what happened.

Tsar 12-02-2006 01:51 PM

was she nice looking at least?

LMAO That car was sexy but who knows maybe it was like my car, she got sideways in the snow and traded cars with her father, her father lets it sit and turn into a rust bucket
