I slipped up, now Im super pissed and not sure on what to do

Since a member on here threatened to post about me on here, i might as well tell all, (i was going to anyway so i could vent)

As you all know, i have a good reputation on here, as a trustworthy, honest person, a member on this site, a positive buyer and a seller. However, the other night i made a very amateur mistake. i purchased a 10bolt rear from a member here (im not going to post names because nobody got ripped off here and im not bashing anyone). Paypal'd 150 +3% - that was all good.

But i forgot to strike a deal as far as picking up the rear BEFORE i paid him :banghead: well hes 3.5 hours away from me. I thought we couldve made the deal after i sent him the money, but i f'd up... I talked to him tonight on AIM, and wanted to figure out where to meet up, like less than half way for him. but no hes not going for it. then i tell him paramus, which is 20 mins from him and 3 hrs from me. "no i dont have the time" my blood is boiling by this point and i just want to.. well i wont go into that.

We didnt make a deal before i paid him and he has every right to say no about meeting up, im not saying anybody is right or wrong here.. ive never had a problem with anyone else like this before, ive always made arrangments for pickup/delivery after I paid. Well, i do know what im gonna do now- I'll just have to get Jake to pick it up for me and meet him in new brunswick like i with the trans i bought from this guy. Jake=awesome guy

I'll just have to learn from this mistake, and remember folks-- MAKE YOUR DEAL BEFORE THE MONEY CHANGES HANDS!

JW 12-27-2006 08:41 PM

Ron, if you feel like waiting till Friday night. I am on the way home from up north anyway I could always pick up the rear and drop it off at your house on the way home? But its up to you man and well... it kinda depends on where up north this place is?

Let me know man

JW :D

98tadriver 12-27-2006 09:40 PM

thanks JW, if everything works out and you can grab the rear, i owe you! :)

foff667 12-27-2006 10:24 PM

im sure if it were something small like an intake or something it might be less of a deal, but your talking about a rear here man...figure he would have to get a truck handy, get him & a buddy to load it into the truck bed, strap it down, drive & help unload it for you...$150 for a rear is super cheap, don't make the guy go out of his way for so little cash...if it were $400 or something eh MAYBE, but since you didnt have anything prearranged your SOL.

once i get this kids address, JW just might pull thru for me!

now for the rest of the story. He never Said anything about meeting anywhere for the rear when y buy soemthign and pay for it it is your responsablity to pick it up unless other plans have been made. Like others said u got the rear super cheap its a hassale to get someone over load it up drive and meet someone somewhere with it. now if we where talking a 2k 12bolt that whould be a little diff. The fuel i burn tolls plus my time is not worth it.....

i'm always down for grabbing rears :w00t:

on a serious note i have met with both parties involved and i can vouch for either one of them being decent guys. unfortunately i'm in central jersey now and not available to grab the rear... if JW can't, i will be able to either tuesday or wednesday to get it. all is well that ends well...

Live and learn man, at least it didn't get ugly and you realized where you made the mistake.
