if you dont mind me asking... whats it for? if you really plan on going turbo, why not buy a 6.0 iron motor out of a gm truck/suv and boost that. lower compression, stronger block, forged pistons, and a 2002 LS6 camshaft... thats a winning combination right there... then sell off parts of your old motor and be happy :)

yeah, i've been back and fourth between turbo'ing an LS1 and an LQ9 block, i also recently have the chance to pickup a LS2 block. i bought a 2002 ls1/ls6 block off a buddy for 120$, so i might just start with that since i have it. I'm going to build a basic setup, just enough to get goin so i can drive it, then i'm going to build a better motor in the background.
