Death to CAGS

Hey guys. I finally picked up my 96 Trans Am, and feel like I'm now an actual memeber of The NJFBOA even though I live in NYC. Now I'm ready to start the mods. The 1st thing I want to do is KILL CAGS. I already bought a skip shift eliminator, but I don't know where to take the car to have it put on. Does anyone know where I can have this done? Thanx in advance for the help.

yea we call it ur driveway, jack up the car and plug it in. 5 minutes tops (including jacking up the car...)

Umm I live in Harlem. So I don't have a drive way. But thanks for your help

Please ignore our resident jackass.

Try a local transmission place.

96BlkBrd,

Welcome to the board!

Installing the skip shift eliminator is really easy, you should not have to pay anyone for it. Is there anywhere nearby you where you can jack up your car?

I might be able to find someplace to jack the car up in the Bronx. I thought the car had to be completely lifted in order to get to the transmission.

dont need to jack it up really, i can reach it at ride height. Don't need to pay 30 bucks for one unless you really want the handy dandy connector.

im pretty sure there're some roads that are paved in harlem, if thats true then you're all set.... and you're welcome.

and Bonzo, why the hell would u pay some one to plug "A" into "B"? thats just retarded... if someone cant do that then the car should stay stock.

Wow this is great. I actually received the part from RK Sport. Thank you for the link. I'm going to try and get this on tonight. Thanks for your help guys. I'll be bugging you all a lot. Since I'm completely clueless.

Its pretty easy, if your a small guy, you might actually be able to crawl under and do it on the street. just lay down some cardboard and squeeze in. Thats how i did it in my driveway.
