Blacdout96 01-14-2007 06:16 PM

january 21st eh? damn, i gotta friend b-day to attend to. still tho, i cant wait to go, and hopefull the weather can stay 60-70 long enough for me to do my first run in the maro, been waiting to do this for three years now

bcgetfresh 01-14-2007 06:33 PM

we should all pitch in and rent the track. 1,500 for the day, if we get 15 people its only $100 a piece and we wont have to ****in wait forever to race. i think its 20 cars max. i already have a deffiant 3 or 4 people i can bring. I havent taken my car to the track yet, do you have to wear a helmet??

j0n 01-14-2007 06:42 PM

Yes you do need to wear a helmet...i would rather lobby Island dragway(cough melissa cough) to do her bbqs up there again, since it's almost the same as a track rental, for alot cheaper and there's amazing food as well

iirc there was no track prep done, but 15 bucks for 15+ runs(that includes a decent cooldown inbetween passes) and that amazing chicken? ill definately be back up there if another BBQ is planned

also, i believe my buddy fish got 25+ runs in his neon type r

Blacdout96 01-14-2007 07:24 PM

I smell a late winter meeting at Island since they love us so much there. ;)

bcgetfresh 01-14-2007 08:07 PM

bcgetfresh 01-14-2007 08:18 PM

Blacdout96 01-14-2007 08:56 PM

ah thats agood question. I havea friend whos fiance's father has a shop wiht ine, but they havent run it in like 3 years, so i think they gotta set it up first. Ill talk to him abotu it a little more. butfor one thats already setup...dunno really.

bubba428 01-15-2007 08:35 AM

i'll go all the way there and now you got my attention with the dino fool...but i think we should get our monkey asses up there and do some drag racing...in a freindly and non competive manner of coarse...cause we all know some one will get pissed of and blow up the party

NJSPEEDER 01-15-2007 06:58 PM

if you don't mind waiting to dyno your car, our march club meet will be at TTP in north jersey. it will be $50 per car for 3 power pulls with wideband O2(tailpipe probe), and a printout. they also put on one hell of a spread of food for everyone to enjoy. we had a blast up there last year.

bcgetfresh 01-15-2007 07:31 PM

damn $50 thats it, thats a really good deal. I was thinkin bout gettin a SLP or superchips handheld tuner, and i was wondering how much hp i will get and which brand to get if its even worth it. So far i have SLP exhaust, the SLP flowpac which is intake, lid, bellow, k&n filter. Everything else is stock besides that. I wanna have a good amount of hp after all of my mods but i still want to use it as an everyday car. Any suggestions?? I wanna have all my mods done before i dyno it.

j0n 01-15-2007 07:56 PM

dont even consider it...a full tune from madz28 or pcmforless is 125-175 and will ALWAYS yield better gains than that handheld piece of crap
