car shopping online.....
is a bunch of crap. i can't find a single dealership in the area that has an actual picture or the features listed on the sticker for what they ahve in stock.
every single one of them has a fancy front page on their site and thats about it. i have tried literally 20 sites today and they are all the damn same. go t a search and all the information i cna find on the trucks i am considering is what color, which cab, 4x4 or not, and the sticker price. click on a particular one and it takes you to a page to contact them to get a price quote. price quote? how about some information about the goddam vehicle!!!! i jsut spent 2 hours not saving myself any time lookin for a car/truck. what a bunch of crap. /rant |
When i was shopping for the Pilot, I emailed 3 dealers and got quotes back, all at around invoice, w/i a day. I just told them exactly what I wanted. I didn't waste time looking at thier inventory lists.

people are afraid of things they don't understand and everything these days is dulled down for the people who don't know much what are you looking for though? |
every new vehicle comes with a sticker on it that lists the options, that alone would help. half the sites don't even have the factory discounts up to date, most expire a month or more ago.

Try searching the new car section over on Autotrader.com - you can get specific as far as color/doors/engine selection to some extent. Might be worth a shot!
