new guy

hey guys, not really new to Fbody crowd, but am working on a current project that will be using various F body parts, and looking to gather/gain some knowledge. Main thing I am looking into is stock 93-02 steel wheels. Seeing if anybody has the dimensions/offset etc;, maybe even one laying around that I can borrow for a few days for mock up, see if they'll even work. Thanks alot

P.S. yes i do mean the ugly ass black/silver steel wheels that they use hub caps to hide

Might have been me. I was the guy in the GP picking up the T-56.

I screwed up in planning. I want to keep my mechanical clutch linkage which (according to McLeod) requires an LS1 T-56, an adapter plate and an intermediate plate. I didn't figure that out until after I sold that one to you. The input shaft in the LT1 unit is too short for what I want to do. Once I get the parts in from McLeod and test fit everything I'm going to sell off the LT1 unit (someone PM'd me about it).

nope, nobody's met me before, and don't own an F-body, but sure most of you guys can appreciate what I'm building.. little background.....

Mechanical engineering major at rutgers, building cars/trucks since I was about 14, and they all had a something "different" about them, long story short, got sick of the lifted trucks/ fast cars (the one I build every year will out handle/brake/and accelerate 95% of the **** on the road), so wanted something different

the formula - 1989 GMC S15 4x4 standard cab, long bed pick up, bravada front differential, and all wheel drive transfer case, 12" F-body front brakes, and a ZR-2 disc brake limited slip rear axle, 5.3 liter gen 3 and 4L60E= about 325 hp, 20+ mpg highway, all wheel drive truck, but let's be honest first gen S-10's aren't the prettiest thing on the road, got the solution to that too.....

1949 GMC 1/2 ton pick up cab and bed will be transfered over. so think 60 yr old "shop truck" V8 awd, grand father to the syclone/typhoon... actually might name her hurricane.

So whose got a set of F-body front brakes laying around and a set of those steelies so this pile can keep growing for the build
