Indoor go-cart racing in Delaware

Just went go-cart racing in Wilmington, Delaware today. Carts are decently fast for a regular place have to actually wear a helmet and neck collar. The place is called Mid Atlantic Grand Prix. With a group of friends this place will be a blast guaranteed. All I know is I got some revenge on ESP198. I put an a monster a$$ whooping on him today and was better than .4 of a second a lap better on average for the race. So I know if we both get into a car with no prior experience of driving it he can expect to get smacked like a $2 whore that he is. I think we should start having money races there. I need the extra cash. Perhaps 1Qwikbird can show up too. Take his money too just like I will in the Fantasy Drag Racing League. Just remember the challenge is still on for the summer.

Monthly Meet out of state possibly?

vegaken 02-05-2007 04:34 PM

Great time indeed. A membership costs $25 and that gets you one race with it. I got 19 laps in on that one race. The course is about 1/4 mile long. After the membership you get races for a cheaper cost. A 40 lap race is $20. You will be feeling it after that race. The track is exceptionally smooth and the course is fun. You have to be somewhat smooth and agressive driving as if you lose momentum people will catch you rather quickly. I don't know about that ask my brother who I put 3/4 of lap lead on. You can bring your own helmet and neck collar so you don't have to wear the public helmet.:barf: Who knows who wore that thing, remember you are in Delaware! They do have a website I think.

baddest434 02-05-2007 06:46 PM

wasn't there a place on rt38 right off 295 in mt. holly?
i remember there being one there but not sure if it still exist.

vegaken 02-06-2007 11:46 AM

I believe that place is still there. I went there and the carts are not nearly as much fun as these are. I know I am going back soon enough with the guys from the engine shop.

holy crap batman revenge will be sweet, the word is out if you think you can drive then come on down were going this sunday around 4:00 If we can get a group of 10 you can do 30min race it would be about 65-70 laps do you think you can hang that long. :moon: I will drink from the winners mug this time:nod:

NJSPEEDER 02-07-2007 10:49 PM

sounds like time to see jsut how rusty my road racing/autocross skills really are. lol
too bad i am busy his weekend. maybe one night next week or next weekend.

vegaken 02-07-2007 11:02 PM

Let's see ESP198 at .4 a lap for the first half of the race, you will need the last half to get close to me and then try to pass me, without hitting me. You are crazy if you think you are drinking out of the winners mug. I will even let you start in front of me so I don't have to hear the crying. Don't worry I will let you carry my helmet and wash my car, when you lose. I am going to pimp slap you all day. I might even pit once or twice to rest so you can try to catch up to me.

198esp1 02-07-2007 11:15 PM

blaa blaaa blaaa 9 seconds and i dont want to here you dont drive my car enough that excuse only worked the first time :-P

vegaken 02-09-2007 05:17 PM

So Sunday is on for another round of humiliation.:moon: You can bring your ringer friend, I don't care what he has done winning at autocross events. That is only one car at a time and no passing, lets see him try to get around me and I will race clean as that is the only way. I will be a towel for you two pros to cry in when I smack both of you. I think if you get lapped it should cost $5 each time, so basically you will pay for my race $20.

198esp1 02-09-2007 05:49 PM

how about if you loose you get a hair cut  it only been what 7-8 years.plus Ive got 30 lbs on you not really apples to apples is it. I can get a weight vest to even it up. do you accept the challenge even weight. If not then stop the smack talk and go curl your hair

vegaken 02-10-2007 10:37 AM

Talk about some jealousy. Not my fault your hair turns into a big 'fro and is waterproof. The weight thing not my fault you can't push away from the table. Don't be jealous just cause you went to a driving school and still got smacked by .4 a lap. Remember just bring your money for all the times I am going to lap your slowness.

NJSPEEDER 02-10-2007 01:46 PM

since this is getting so much attention, it jsut got added to the "to do" list. i will talk to the delaware peeps and see if they want to do a co-meet one weekend. they keep coming up to our spots, it would be cool if we went and met with them one weekend on their own turf.

vegaken 02-11-2007 10:48 PM

Looks like all the smack talk was true. I kept my end of the deal and smacked you around again.:nutkick: Not only did I smack you so did 1Qwikbird and he is heavier than you! So much for the weight thing. I think he has you by 30 pounds. Oh by the way I did lap you in the 40 lap deal so we are even for the easy pass deal.8-) All I know was that the kid with the classic Mullet scared me, especially when his mom put in a pony tail for him. You can definately tell you were in Delaware. Just think how bad it must be the further south you go! I might have nightmares about that.

I'd trade the same 60 bucks for 1 M-club event  and 1 night at atco  , just my two cents.....good time, but not quite what I expected. If it was closer it'd be cool, but 2 hours of driving:drool: plus 1-1/2 hours of waiting  and maybe 25 minutes of seat time:-? ?

The kid with the mullet was flat out scary.

All i Know is i smacked all u guys around by at least .8 of a second....any1 up for a rematch>

vegaken 02-14-2007 04:29 PM

I know it was not me that got beat by .8 I did drive rather poorly all day. But I will take a rematch if you will show up for a poker game at my house. I kind of enjoyed driving for free on your money. Oh yeah I went out for a Mardi Gras party on your money too. Thanks for financing my weekend! Oh by the way nice picks on the drag race this time out.:-P
