GP99GT 03-12-2007 08:00 AM

thats nice

BonzoHansen 03-12-2007 09:51 AM

Didn't it have Eagle STs before? If so, it should be nice replacing tires that are older than Wayfast. :)

i just put yokohama geolander tires on the wife's jeep. i gotta say, for the bucks they cost they are an outstanding value. check http://www.tirerack.com - that's where i got them.

Those will soon be my next set. They got a ton of great reviews, and the price ain't too shabby.

GP99GT 03-12-2007 11:59 AM

$79 a piece for my 245/45/17's...other comparable tires are like 90+

Nothing the Continential/General Tire Company makes is FTW. FTCheap maybe, but no FTW.

GP99GT 03-12-2007 12:48 PM

ive driven mine in light snow without a problem and cut a 2.0 60' at the track with stock suspension in <32* weather...theyre not bad really

cheap tires are usually soft compound and don't grip too bad. my buddy pulled a 2.2 60' with a VW on general tires. and then had trouble pulling 2.3s with a pair of high-line tires.

i have nitto extremes on my camaro now but i can't wait to ditch them for a set of Falken Azenis :drive:

jims69camaro 03-12-2007 03:51 PM

and soft compound tires tend to not last that long... i'd be interested to know why you are dumping the nittos, tho. i had them picked for the '87.

GP99GT 03-12-2007 05:00 PM

i had nitto extremes on the car when i bought it, they sucked as far as traction goes and didnt last long at all

Rafterman 03-12-2007 05:34 PM

got mine for $112 each. alot but they are unbelievable. and having tires older than wayfast wasn't to fun either.

trashman01 03-12-2007 07:35 PM

im gonna be gettin a set of Fuzion Zri's. boss put them on his 05 vette and my other boss threw them on his buddies stang. said they handle very good and have good traction.

misterjuice 03-12-2007 07:47 PM

trashman01 03-12-2007 08:06 PM

BigAls87Z28 03-12-2007 08:19 PM

Conti/General are not FTW, they are FTBS (for the belt shift), which turns into FTPC (for the phone call) FTW (for the warranty), which will be FTD(for the denied.)

Fuzions are great. I have a set on my Lumina, and it in the rain it seemed like I was driving a whole new car.
