My new Bird...

Well, I recently sold my 94 Formula, and picked up this newer 98 Formula in its place. The car is #23 out of only 221 LS1 Formula WS6's made. It is stock, for now (I already have parts on their way in the mail :naughty: ) What does everyone think?

Me thinks, ceta, ceta wheels, hose mod and !sidemoldings.

CALL911 03-18-2007 07:01 PM

The body will remain stock, other than lowering it, and changing the wheels to my Konig Monsoons that were on my 94. I haven't really seen any body mods to the Firebirds other than upgrading to a Firehawk or WS6 hood (which I already have) that I like.

wat the hell is a hose mod? formula's dont have a panel to paint like a TA to make the ceta panel, and why get ceta wheels when u could spend the same money and get sumthin better? there just regular rims painted black....

car looks sweet, i remember reading an article in motortrend or sumthin about the ls1 formula ws6's

CALL911 03-18-2007 07:14 PM

Thanks. I like the Formula's because they are rare (+ now having a WS6 Formula, its really rare), and they are more of a sleeper car

Ok ceta, around the liscence plate. 2 hose mod drops the rear about 1 inch, ceta wheels are his wheels, just black, so for 10 bucks in spray paint.. O yeah also some black stripes on the side of the ram air hood would be great too.

CALL911 03-18-2007 07:36 PM

Actually, it has stripes already, and I already have lowering springs ready to go in, and am changing wheels (as I originally posted)

you can save parts  and if you care about rare, go get a mopar or something and give some one else a 4th gen they will mod and drive hard

1_Hot_SOM_WS6 03-18-2007 08:47 PM

Looks good :) Good luck with it!!

CALL911 03-18-2007 09:14 PM

Thanks for the compliments. I actually prefer the T/A rear hatch and spoiler, but since it is rare, I will leave it be, and show off the rare factory body it has.

I can't leave it completly stock though. Thats where the go fast parts come in! :)

WayFast84 03-18-2007 09:20 PM

once again, the car is not rare

actually yes they are and WS6 formys in good condition that are close to stock are going for good money right now. i remember seeing one recently on ls1tech going for almost 20k. thats pretty good for a 10 year old car.

ws6 formulas are a personal favorite. i would love to have one in white. beautiful car man i love it.

once again read my whole post before making a retarted comment....he is going to drive it and mod it obviously and i said nothing about not driving it...and who should he give it to if hes not ....you?? the car would be totaled before your were even old enough to drive it

and id say 224 made over 4 years is pretty damn rare

ok its a FORMULA, it has a different rear bumper then a TA, hence the TA in CETA, cant make one when there isnt one, and who in their right mind would paint nice chrome wheels over with a $10 can of spray paint?

Yet another "intelligent" post by Mr. 4th Gen himself  .... WS6 Formulas are in fact RARE... before I bought my Z I was looking for Formula WS6's and Firehawks and could not find one anywhere ... i knew that they made them, all that kept coming up was Formulas ... I personally love the front ends on the Formula over the T/A... so maybe u should do some research before you make another lame post.

And looks great CALL911, I personally would get chrome hood inserts and !sidemolding and lower the beast.

i believe the formula ws6 was only made in 98, but i can be wrong. actually i'm usually wrong. actually i don't know where i heard that. actually i don't know if it just made that up in my head. so this post has no purpose other then speculation. i hate me

maroman88 03-19-2007 10:58 PM

nope, the article i read back in the day was about a 99 ws6 formy

there were a few colors that were only 98 maybe thats what hes thinking of.. bright purple metallic bright gold metallic bright green metallic i think... and there was also a blue color

CALL911 03-20-2007 08:15 AM

I believe they made them 98-02, and during that time period a total of 221 were made. If you don't consider 221 from tens of thousands rare, then you and I just have different opinions of rare.

Thanks again for the compliments. I consider myself extremly lucky finding this Bird (and for the price I got it for). Once it warms up a bit more, I'll probably be looking to cruise around a bit more in it probably out at Toms River.
