I like the tint, not too dark.

looks very nice man! now don't those rims look familiar :)

CALL911 04-01-2007 01:27 PM

Nice tint job. Whats the law here in NJ for tinting? Where I am from in Indiana you can have it as dark as you want in the back, just as long as the driver and passenger windows aren't darker than 35%.

I'm wondering because now that I'm in NJ, I'd like to get this done to my 98 Formula.

Ian 04-01-2007 01:30 PM

rear hatch you can go as dark as you want, but the front side windows cant be tinted "legally"

CALL911 04-01-2007 01:35 PM

I guess I should have re-phrased my question. Can the tinting shops around here still tint as dark as you want them to? Or did Joey D go out of state to get it done?

Since I am technically still an Indiana resident, stationed here in NJ for the Air Force, Indiana state laws for the tinting are the only ones I have to worry about. (It also is nice since I don't have to have emission inspections either)

Joey D 04-01-2007 02:13 PM

tint shops will tint it as dark as u want. i got it done locally. any tint on the front windows is illegal under NJS 39:3-75..... i got no front plate either..and no exhaust currently, open headers..hahaha

CALL911 04-01-2007 02:17 PM

I take it since you got it done locally, that they also will tint the front windows even though its illegal in NJ?

Rich189 04-01-2007 03:05 PM

yea they just dont take responsibility if you get a ticket

Joey D 04-01-2007 03:27 PM

yeah they usually have signs in their place saying "your car wont pass nj inspections with the tinted windows"

CALL911 04-01-2007 05:25 PM

Thats fine, as I have no legally binding ties to the tinting laws of NJ :)

I love that TA! Looks great! Where in Jersey are you from? Im looking for a local guy that I can trust to do tints on my vette...

And about the height issue... Im 6'3 and I fit more comfortably in my vette then I do in a lot of other cars!
