making my own seat covers

well, i am tempted to give it a shot. anyone ever try to make their own seat covers before? my mom has a 1500$ heavy duty programmable sewing machine that i can upload designs into and it will embroider **** on there for you. my only problem now is to draw out a template to remake the seat covers. i may give it a shot over this next week i have off of school so i might attempt to make them with cheap fabric and then move to a vinyl material if it works out good. 8-)

buy a set from walmart or something, get what info you need and take 'em back
use someone else's template

JL8Jeff just re-did the ones in his 4th gen, maybe he still has the old ones you could use as templates. If you have pro tools, shoot for pro results.
