mostly my new stuff, lcas, sfcs, ls6 mani, 88mm pp tb, pistons, crank, dipstick, gaskets, poly engine mounts, ls6 high volume ported oil pump, etc...

block is off at a shop all week getting bored and honed, once i get it back the assembly begins :)

foff667 04-28-2007 10:58 AM

I didnt think you could bore an LS1 block since they are sleeved?

NJSPEEDER 04-28-2007 11:10 AM

line boring and then honing is a good way to clean up the bore surface and make sure it is 100% tru and square. not really a tradition 'cut' type bore taking a bunch of material out, more of a quick sanding to make sure the hole is perfectly round and then hone it to repolish the sleeve surface.

yup any day now it'll be done. cant wait lol

bah she's totally finished now. once finished i proceeded to start'er up w/o fuel pump on just to get this movin a lil to coat it all in oil, and grind grind. starter goes bye bye. looks like tomorrow instead of my plans of south meet & wild wood i'm picking up a starter and getting this project completed !

Typical! Never quite works out like it does on all of the Musclecar shows on TV where they do an engine build and swap in half an hour.

That's a ton of work you've done there. Nice job! I love seeing build threads. Good luck getting her goin'!

GrandmasterCow 05-12-2007 06:18 PM

haha thanks i went out today, yes in th rain and got a new starter and put it in when it stopped raining and she cranked right over. i've still got to get the tranny in i'll prob to that later tonight or tomorrow. i hoped to have the car ready by this weekend to goto WW but insurance wont be on till monday and the starter issue so gives me lil more time.

GrandmasterCow 05-12-2007 10:14 PM
