anyone know any good drift spots in south jersey?
i'm in galloway in smithville...
i can't find any place to go
please tell me you can help =D

the proffered spot would be an abandoned parking lot or something so that i can practice without getting arrested or crashing

j0n 05-18-2007 06:15 PM

NJSPEEDER 05-18-2007 06:21 PM

the guys who run the drift events at e-town would prolly know best. i can't think of their website off hand, but the link shoudl be on e-towns site, www.TheDrags.com

Ah to be young and stupid, which was when i was around your age when I did that, I learned my lesson, just as you did with those injectors eh? oh and another good street to do that is in absecon on a turn that goes downhill witha pole there, right bubba? so lets not compare scars here.

when you drift out of the school parking lot, do you mean you pull out of there and get sideways?

I consider that getting sideways out of a parking lot lol. drifting is like doing really wide donuts, or just sliding all the way around a turn, like this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTX7cUsHVHE

yea, anyone can get a car sideways and straighten it out, drifting is a lil bit more involved....

watch The Fast and the Furious - Tokyo Drift...it is a a$$ load harder to do then it looks man. u dont just smash the gas peddel down and take corners...

DrachenFire 05-29-2007 04:27 PM

i know exactly what drifting is... i've been studying it for the past 2 years... i think i would know =P

this right here is the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc9U4N02bI0

there's a crash near the end but it's awesome until then

If he goes to Absegami thats a really tight S-bend normal driving its tight at 25mph lol....I used to get it pretty hard through there in my camaro

DrachenFire 05-29-2007 06:34 PM

bubba428 05-29-2007 06:36 PM

DrachenFire 05-29-2007 07:05 PM

haha nice... i'm guessing that was in the summer =P

bubba428 05-30-2007 07:41 PM

deadtrend1 05-30-2007 10:37 PM

don't you not have your full license yet? and your asking people where you can go driving around turns at a excess speed to put the car on the very limits of its handling abilties?????

Blacdout96 05-31-2007 05:06 PM

if your looking for a way to teach yourself to drify, I went to borders last night and seen a book on how to drift, gives you diagrams and everything, its in the sports section near the end where all the race car books are if your intrested, I was gonna buy it, but bought the book Shelby GT40 instead, pretty good info and pics on Carroll's involvement in the fight against Ferrari and Ford.
