Fender rolling party anyone?

Went ahead and rented a fender roller and heat gun which should arrive very soon. If anyone else is interested in using this when I do mine, welcome to come over and make it a party....and if you want to toss me a couple bucks towards it thats cool too. Post or PM me if interested. I live off river rd in piscataway for reference. btw...beer will be provided

NJSPEEDER 05-24-2007 01:17 PM

where does one rent a fender rolling tool? how much woudl it cost to buy one?

Blackbirdws6 05-24-2007 01:39 PM

heh well I was using the word party in the sense of whoever wants to stop over and use the tool as well could while I have it for rental. I do not have a grill (apt but I have a garage :)), but I always have blenty of beer. Supposedly it takes around a little over a hour to do two back fenders from start to finish.

NJSPEEDER: A guy from ls1tech.com rents them so I paypal'd him the money to rent it. I've read posts of people renting from this guy and they were pleased with the tools and the guy sounded reputable.

Blackbirdws6 05-24-2007 09:05 PM

Well tool should be on its way so as soon as its here I'm going to town on the fenders. I'll let everyone know when I plan on doing it. Only have the tool for about a week.

Bring the tool to your place. Yeah, that DSE kit for 2nd gens is pricy for maybe an extra 20-30MM.

WildBillyT 05-24-2007 11:07 PM

Wow, they are way more expensive than a 1st gen...

BonzoHansen 05-24-2007 11:16 PM

And you can squeeze the 315 in stock if everything is right & you smack the seat belt support with a BFH. I don;t see how you can really justify that cost unless you already need that metal, or have too much $$ to burn.

Most likely it will be going down right around that time, so I will post when and where its happening. Thanks for the compliments on my ride. As Jon knows, its not doing so well right now but I got it there. Having odd ignition issues (I think). Some parts are coming either today or next week to resolve them hopefully. Btw, you need to give me a ride in your car. It looks like it means business.

Yeah, broh, sometimes it's hard to keep going w/ these cars when problems arise. We'll have to toss a few back and cry on each other's sholders. :) My AMX means business, alright. It's business is to put me in the po' house and /or mental ward. lol
