Vacation Ideas
 

So I'm looking to spend a lazy weekend down the shore with my girlfriend and I have absolutely no idea of things to do or places in particular to go. I've lived in Jersey my entire life but I was never big into the Jersey shore. I'm only familiar with Sandy Hook.

What are some nice areas, anyone ever stay at a nice hotel or bed & breakfast there?

Throw me some ideas people! I'm not trying to be a cheap-skate but funds aren't exactly high and I'd like to do a saturday-Sunday kind of deal.

or save the $ and come to Outer Banks with us...

LBI is nice. probably out of your price range unless you stay on the mainland and drive to the island.

Drive down to Williamsburg VA, go during the week. its about an 8 hour drive. Check the internet you can find some good deals.

Skyline Drive in VA, rent a a hotel room and tour the park - hour outside of DC

Tour the vineyards in PA (around New Hope)

Do a weekend in Allentown (Dorney Park)

Weekend in DC

Jersey shore and summer do not equal cheap.. you can travel and see something new for less

when u going to obx? i wanna head down this summer before i leave, but havent picked a time yet

I don't know how much you have to spend, but Karen and I spent a long weekend in Spring Lake for our honeymoon. We stayed at a great B&B: www.seacrestbythesea.com

There are several others in the area that are nice, and not as expensive.

Hell Yeah... we may head there one more time this year before the baby is due.

I vote for OC, MD, too. Much nicer than NJ shore towns by far.

If you are from NJ, since you obviously are, a vacation means to leave the STATE and go elsewhere lmao. Im gonna be in Myrtle Beach for 10 days staying in a deluxe bedroom at a very nice hotel right on the beach... that, my friend, is a vacation :-D

wildwood...get a 30 and just the two of you polish it off on saturday....itll be romantic

:stupid: LBI is nice, its a little more laid back there from what I've seen. Also, Chicken or the Egg is a great place for some cheap food (wings, etc, open 24 hours, kinda a glorified diner). But I warn you, do not try the ludicrous sauce ;)

What are you guys doing in OBX? My friend loves going there, but I've never heard of it before then. I live a sheltered north jersey life :lol:

I did think about Ocean City. I was just down there a few weeks for the Cruise. I was thinking this one town Rehobooth Delaware.

We are renting a house there, a week of relaxin and doing whatever we want :lol:
