what is the difference between a 98-00 OEM throttle body and a 01-02 OEM throttle body?

Mike 06-06-2007 08:03 AM

they changed the spring and the size of the cam for the throttle cable, i bought the 00+ one with plans of porting it for my 99 and when i put it on to test it, my throttle cable was too short to let it close all the way

alamantia 06-06-2007 09:15 AM

in otherwords, your ported TB wont work on my 02 Z28 right? I saw some guy on tech making a nice little buissness out of porting them. I wanted to try one to see what all the hooplah is about

Mike 06-06-2007 10:06 AM

it would work if you swaped your cam and spring over.......ive heard of people doing it, but not sure what it enatails.....

my car with ported tb, headers/exhaust, suspension, and gears/ sticky tires went 12.3 @ 111
