F the front plate!

well that was bound to happen, ive been runnin the no front plate mod on both cars and finally got popped in the daily driver Z28 in paramus lol

Savage_Messiah 06-07-2007 03:45 AM

paramus will get ya

DaSkinnyGuy 06-07-2007 05:58 AM

Did you get a ticket?

Jersey_TA 06-07-2007 06:04 AM

Hopefully you don't have the luck I did lol. When the T/A had NJ plates I didn't run a front plate for 3 years before I got stopped. Then I got 2 tickets, 2 written warnings, and about 12 verbal warnings from state, local, and on base police. After that I switched to IL plates :) now I only get harrassed when I go home once a year lol

chemicalstylez 06-07-2007 10:19 AM

I haven't used a front plate on any of my cars in about 3 years, i've gotten 2 tickets and 1 verbal warning all in the same town. Gotta love small town cops that have absolutely zero to do.

CJDZ24_Z28 06-07-2007 03:40 PM

I haven't got one in 2 years but It kinda got me busted today in my Trans Am. I guess it made this dikhead cop look at my car over he comes out from his hiding spot which i seen and pulls me over. He ended up giving me one for my taillamp which is $54.00:( in this ******** state's pocket I haven't gotten pulled over in my SS because it yet.........

I use to rock one on the V6....now that I have the new hotness.....she goes front plateless and she loves it :)

As ugly as it is, running no front plate is just asking for a ticket or a good reason to pull you over and look for other violations. Maybe they will drop the front plate in NJ one day, but until then it's not worth the hassle or the ticket.

Speaking of that, some old guy told me today they were putting that into legislation about dropping front plates since we don't put those registation stickers on our plates anymore. We can only hope eh?

Brando56894 06-09-2007 08:31 PM

yea, lets hope they pass it. i cant afford to get anymore tickets at this point in time and the cover's been sitting up on my shelf ever since i got the car (my first one never "came" with it)

Front plates are for suckers LOL

I have my answer ready: "Sorry sir, Chevy doesn't sell them anymore and I can't find one on eBay" LOL.

98tadriver 06-10-2007 07:54 PM

i agree!

SpeedMetalT/A 06-10-2007 08:00 PM

I've never had my front plate on and I get a verbal warning about once a month.

For you young punks, old man Jeff is right, no plate = probable cause. Beware the cavity search.

jin1481 06-11-2007 03:13 PM

got mine 91 in NC, front plates aren't required, can't get the parts i need. The 91 is pretty much going to be a track only car anyway.

GrandmasterCow 06-11-2007 04:04 PM

i hate front plates. i never have a problem without front plate, but then again i guess having a state police family member card helps :)

Do you mean probable cause? I think that dismantled stillborn fetus still has your head messed up
