Wow Country Time Lemonade Is Pretty Unhealthy For You

after the soda addict thread ive been noticing the calories/sodium/carbs/etc.. of the various things i drink. my mom bought a 6 pack of country time lemonade in a can, i always thought this stuff was relative healthy for you, i guess i was wrong (well i guess it depends on what your looking at too)

CT Lemonade (in 12 oz.):
calories: 140
Sodium: 105mg
Total Carbs (from sugar): 35g

Pepsi (in 8 oz)
Calories: 100
Sodium: 20mg
Total Carbs (from sugar): 28g

Gatorade (in 8 oz)
Calories: 50
Sodium: 110mg
Total Carbs (from sugar): 14g

i was pretty shocked when i compared the three of them...

i use it to mix creatine, strong taste dilutes the horribleness of the powder

The amount of sweeteners and chemicals in anything like that is astonishing. Even when they have something they call "natural flavoring" its not quite as natural as you think. We're a chemically dependent society, its seriously no wonder why cancers and mutating diseases run so rampant now. These topics really get me going sometimes, but we all know the best thing for you is water. Anything other than that will either have chemicals or sodium or calories or whatever. It shouldn't be a surprise.

WERD.

What really bothers me are the diet drinks, which list 0's for all the nutritional info. There's stuff in there, they just don't have to tell you what it is.

you're nitpicking. im not talking about the process by which water is purified, i'm talking about the added chemicals in other drinks for flavor/consistancy/energy/whatever.

if you have a real medical problen they only let you drink purified water it is the best of it all -- jz

I like water, but isn't the question of what drink is best dependent on what you want?
