I doub't its all THAT bad, but not the greatest either. Compare it to a 455 at the same era...

WildBillyT 06-27-2007 05:24 PM

Probably not horrible. Q-Jet and 2.41 or 2.56 gears in some models...

EchoMirage 06-27-2007 06:02 PM

what gears.......stick or auto. ive never measured mine, but imagine its around 15 or less

JL8Jeff 06-27-2007 07:49 PM

My 70 SS396 with 3.55 gears just got 15 mpg going out to Carlisle and back. If you drive like a normal person you can get in the teens. If you stomp on it all the time then you will be lucky to get 10 mpg.

i think hes talking about that year one bandit thats going to be available?

BonzoHansen 06-28-2007 06:55 AM

Does the Y1 version come with a Q-jet 6.6?

BTK79 06-28-2007 07:21 AM

I think the motor is a 462 500hp poncho with a demon in bandit 1.The trans is a tremec 5spd and what I heard it got like 20mpg on the highway on the power tour. The other powerplants later will be ls2 600hp bandit 2 , bigger CI pontiac based by butler, pushing 700hp bandit 3.

Noodles 06-28-2007 01:16 PM

haha, no i was talking about the original bandit.

i have no intentions on ever buying a year one car... any of them... way out of price range... WAYYYYY out

BonzoHansen 06-28-2007 01:33 PM

Then 10-15mpg, depending on a number of variables, is probably in line.
