WTB: 3.8L v6

me and my friend are looking to buy a 3.8L v6 to upgrade his bird from the 3.4. we would go with the v8, but we dont want to change the wiring and k-member and whatever else. plus he wants to save a lil on gas, for now.

any reasonable deals out there?

Sorry to break it to you but AFAIK you'll still need to change wiring and I don't think the motor mounts are the same, so k-member too

transamkid 07-06-2007 08:59 PM

we werre looking to convert to manual/stick
dravenblackbird said he has everything except the k-member i think

Savage_Messiah 07-07-2007 04:26 PM

How much are you lookin to spend on a k member?

transamkid 07-07-2007 09:58 PM

we're still deciding on a stock one, or if we could find one aftermarket

Yeah, just like a V8, you gotta swap the wiring, k member, and trans too, i dont believe they bolt up to each other. the nice thing about it is I dont think you have to change the radiator, or the fron springs, but other then that, everything else has gotta go. best to just got he whole 9 yards and drop a V8 in it.

bubba428 07-08-2007 07:25 AM

do a top end swap and cam it. I don't have a full right up on it but I can try to muster one up if you want

Blacdout96 07-08-2007 10:16 AM

......the same amount of money could be spent on a V8 swap, or if anything, he can just buy a LT1 car and be doen with it.

Savage_Messiah 07-08-2007 07:22 PM

I've got a stock k-member that I'd be willing to part with for the right amount of money (would replace it with a tubular one)
