Made a run to the beach(LBI) yesterday

So I made the first run to the beach yesterday with the 2000 SS and went down to Beach Haven on LBI. 539 is being stripped and repaved so be prepared for that if you use that road. There's a long section where you can't really pass due to the uneven pavement. But I had no problems getting around slow cars with the LS1 before getting to the stripped section! That engine is so smooth the way it makes power. I got down to Beach Haven in an hour and a half which is really good considering all the traffic lights on 72 and on the island. Coming home was another story since everyone decided to leave at the same time. 72 was backed up from the bridge all the way to 539(took 40 minutes). Even 195 was backed up near the tpk. So it took 2 hours to get home which sucked. But even with the traffic jams and driving on the island it looks like the car pulled down 22-24 mpg for the trip.
