paint?

what should i ask for when I go to the paint shop for paint? Im doing this at home in my driveway. I have a gravity fed gun, and am not looking for the best job, but the best i can make it.

i would go with single stage, what are you painting?

WayFast84 07-24-2007 09:22 PM

engine bay

WayFast84 07-25-2007 01:44 PM

i was thinking about using this http://www.duplicolor.com/products/paintshop.html

Ya thats decent cheapo paint, i used it to paint my gocart came out pretty good. I dont know how their clear is though, i was to cheap to use it on the gocart.

WayFast84 07-26-2007 07:46 PM

pics? its 20 bucks so 60 for the paint, clear and primer, Id be doing it in black.. But I want to do it silver so when I'm rich i can paint my car silver and have a matching engine bay?

what color did you use?

BonzoHansen 07-27-2007 09:54 AM

You're better off with black. That silver won't match what you paint your car unless you paint the whole car that color. The black would be better then mismatched silver.

camaro2you 07-27-2007 10:36 AM

I used that blue color.

Definately want to see the results when you are done Wayfast. Might be a good answer for my nearly nonexistant budget.

Do you have a high res camera? Black is such a pain in the *** to get right.

WayFast84 07-30-2007 09:02 PM

WayFast84 07-31-2007 06:46 PM

Untamed 08-01-2007 10:50 AM

Matt you're just doing the engine bay for now right? Any body panels you can practice on afterward to see what the paint looks like on the outside?

WayFast84 08-01-2007 03:14 PM

ill do have of a fender I have, If I have enough extra maybe ill do the whole thing, the problem is it needs to be buffed out, and I wont have the machine to do that..

WildBillyT 08-01-2007 03:49 PM
