should i buy this???....some guy has a 383 stroker motor and a turbo 400 trans that came out of his nova.

Depends on how much power you plan on for your car. thm400 trannies handle big block power. GM built them for 2-4 ton vehicles, capable of handling 500 ft.lbs. of torque.I have one behind my 350 LT-1. 35 years old and no problems. Thm400s do take a bit more to spin than a thm350 and are heavier. The ? is how much for the 383/400 and do you trust the person you're buying it from? JEGS lists thm400's at $750 for stock-$1200 for a 600+hp model.

yeah, i dont think i'm gunna buy it because its some random guy on craigslist...i think i'll wait and find a nice muncie from someone local and someone that i CAN trust. thanks for the info
