j0n hurt in motorcycle accident

****UPDATE PAGE 3 (post #61)****

Hey guys.

For those who don’t already know, yesterday (Saturday), j0n was riding his bike on Rt 22 in Readington. He was in the left lane when a 17-year-old girl cut across to his lane and nailed the brakes in an attempt to get to a u-turn. j0n ran into the back of her car, sending him flying off of his bike. His injuries included a compound fracture to his lower right leg and a fractured left ankle.

He was airlifted from the scene to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he underwent emergency surgery for his injuries. The surgery was a success, and he is on lots of pain meds and will be in the hospital from 3 to 5 days, longer if needed.

I just came back from visiting him, and he is in high spirits. The pain meds seem to being doing their job, and he is just chillen, waiting for anybody who wants to see him. He is in high spirits, and would be more than happy to have visitors.

PM me and I will be more than happy to provide you with the needed infoto go an visit him. I think visiting hours are until 8pm, but not 100% sure. Like I said, he’ll be there for awhile, so if you want to go but can’t make it today, just swing by when you can.

Also, he has a DVD player but no good movies, so bring him some good stuff to watch.

His mother is keeping me posted on everything that happens, so I will relay any info I get to you guys. In the meantime, just keep him in your thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery.

God damn! It seems like he cant catch a break lately. I hope he makes a quick and full recovery!!

WildBillyT 08-12-2007 03:13 PM

Holy crap, that's right near me!

Those Rt 22 u-turns are death traps. A lady down the street screwed one of them up and got into a nasty accident; she got hurt really bad and she killed her grandchild.

I'm glad he is in stable shape and doesn't seem to be hurt very bad.

j0n, I hope you have a speedy recovery!

LS1Hawk 08-12-2007 03:29 PM

Holy ****! Didn't he just hit a deer on his bike not too long ago? When I started reading this and read that he flew off the bike I immediately expected the worst. Thank god he's alright and give him my best!

trashman01 08-12-2007 03:41 PM

damn j0n cant catch a break at all. hope him a speedy recovery

Kojak 08-12-2007 03:46 PM

SupermanX24 08-12-2007 03:54 PM

Fast92RS 08-12-2007 03:59 PM

Ugh!! He has had no luck lately with his bike. Glad to hear that he is ok though. I hope for a speedy & full recovery for ya j0n!!

unstable bob gable 08-12-2007 07:17 PM

WOW! I just got home from work and saw this! I rang jOn up and chatted for a bit, he is messed up but glad it wasn't "worse." The scary thing is he thinks the girl actually ran him over at some point! He'll prolly be laid up for a couple of weeks in the hospital, so try and get down to see him. I'm gonna try, 'cause he's my favorite drunk monkee!

BonzoHansen 08-12-2007 07:41 PM

Damn, Paul told us this today at Island. Best wish j0n.

baddest434 08-12-2007 07:43 PM

damn sorry to hear that news!! i was looking forward to meeting j0n on tuesday nite @ atco. hope you have a speedy recovery bro. i feel bad for you.

Blackbirdws6 08-12-2007 08:05 PM

I was at the Nats when he texted me with his unfortunate news. I actually just came back from seeing him and he is indeed in high spirits. I would have brought over some movies if I knew he had a dvd player. I'll prob be swingin by through the week to see how he is doing. Definitely cant catch a break with that bike but lucky it wasn't worse.

However, I did mention to him that I will be shooting down to Atco on Tuesday in his honor lol. I actually was hoping he would be out of the hospital by tuesday so I could toss him in my car. We had a good laugh.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery for ya bro!

Slow 88 08-12-2007 08:45 PM

Wow!! Get well soon!

JL8Jeff 08-12-2007 08:57 PM

Wow, that's too much bad luck for one person. I watched somebody pull a u-turn right in the middle of 31 today between the cement median! There are a lot of bad drivers out there so you really have to drive defensively and expect people to do stupid stuff(especially in NJ). I know you're trying to make Al Gore proud by riding a bike to save gas but I would suggest using a car or truck instead of a bike! Get well soon!

ted gerlach 08-12-2007 08:58 PM

that sucks, hope he will be fine, if its the same u-turn one of my close friends from high school was killed on his bike

Knipps 08-12-2007 09:01 PM

damn, dude.. if i lived closer i'd bring you an entire binder of dvd's i have sitting here
get better soon man

Squirrel 08-12-2007 09:44 PM

im gonna see if i can shoot up there tomorrow sometime and bring him some vids...just talked to him on the phone, said he's allright, might have to go back into surgery tomorrow...so if he doesnt pick up during the day that might be the reason...

Ian 08-12-2007 10:13 PM

I'll be checking in to see him tomorrow after work.
