I wonder if my car can ACTUALLY do THIS
hahahah
they make it look like a TANK http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivyyjXSIdt8 john cena can drive! |
B4C FTW.
|
wow b4c came with steel fenders, hood, and bumper??? sweet hahaha
|
I'm pretty sure those .223s will go right through the fiberglass hood and puncture something and probably still have enough velocity to brake the composite intake.
|
that car would have ground to a halt after the first barrage. not to mention if they sprayed the hell of it at such a close range, how could they ever miss him?!? the first few rounds went directly into the engine bay. the intake, fuel lines, power steering, oil lines would have been shredded. not to mention the tires. also, i think he holds up a regular bulletproof vest to stop about 2 clips worth of .223 rounds. just one of them would core the vest front to back in the real world. add in the jump.....the front suspension would have been totally demolished. other then that......movies is magic. what a waste of a few SS's though.

yeah i work at blockbuster.... it was a pretty bad movie haha
|
word has it they used V6 camaro's tho, cause i mean comeon, your on a budget, what would you spend, 7K on a V6 and pop a hood and wing on and go, or 10-12 for a true SS, plus i dont remember B4C's coming with SS wings, unless im mistaken so, and if you watch the jump when he hits the ground in slow mo, and when the car flips, theres a plastic shield covering the intake, so to me it doesnt look like a LS1 car, just added sounds. smoke and mirrors people.
|
i thought i saw the composite intake in a couple shots but i dunno it was crappy quality
|
Juan Cena is crap

just a quick question. even though the bullets being fired are blanks, what makes you think they are supposed to be .223 rounds? as far as I know, ar15 style rifles can be chambered for several different calibers.
|
by far the most common round for an AR15 style gun is .223. id say about 98% of them, worldwide, are .223. you CAN get them in a 9mm.....but the clips shown in the movie were bigger. you can also get them in a .308.....but again, clips were standard .223 size. you can also get a kit to convert them into .22s....but why would you do that then shoot at a car?
id hope they were V6s. but remember, movies are hideously expensive. even a ****y action flick like the marine could cost what, 100 million? 80 mill? a few 10K SSs is a drop in the bucket to them. |

The last line in that clip was the best part.

i know so. im a gun nut. any standard (non armor piercing) .223 round will slice through a standard bulletproof vest. if you add armor plating to the vest, then depending on what its rated for, it could still punch through. add in the SS109 round (armor piercing) and it will punch through. dont let what some morons say led you on. just because its a small diameter round doesnt mean its a toy. the round travels at what, something like 3000fps? being that fast, that pointy, and that small, it can easily rip through regular kevlar. only if you layer up the kevlar, or add in harded armor, will it stop the round. the vest i assume was a regular police issue, which is only rated to stop pistol rounds. military armor is different. and they were M16s.....M4s to be exact, if i saw correctly, which ARE M16s but shorter barrels and telescoping stocks.
again, this is just a movie, and you cant believe anything in movies. playing the other side, even IF the vest did stop the rounds (which were what, 15-20 rounds?) his arm bones would be shattered from the impact, not to mention being slapped back into his face and head from the force of the vest catching the bullets. |

also they are mags, not "clips" SS109 is steel penetrator, legal for civvie ownership, not AP, but rather close. BTW it's Martin, figured I didn't NEED to add that for most of you to know but figured just in case. |
