And the "Biggest Tool of the Year" award for 2007 goes to.....

my friend JJ haha...u gus dont know him but you gotta hear this story...

So i get a call around 5pm from this kid and needs me to pick him up from work and drive him to westfeild to go get his car and this is why..

He caved in and let his girlfriend borrow his car (2000 Acura Integra), and she rear ended some somebody! Well damn it cant get any worse than that right?....WRONG...so heres the kicker..she dosent have a liscense and he knew that! So he got his car and there was no damage, just a bent liscense plate, but the guy filed a police report.

Now i dunno about u guys but if that happened to me (even though i would have never lent her the car in the first place) I would be flipping out! He was all cool about it and he was like ya you can borrow it again to her! He cant say no to women and its truly sad so thats why i gave him this award haha.I love this kid and ive known him since kindergarten but damn.

So do you guys know what the penalty for this would be? I know she gonna get screwed out of getting her liscense for awhile but whats gonna happen to JJ most likely?

aiding and abedding a criminal. His *** is going to jail.... LMAO j/k

probably not much maybe a slap on the wrist.

my friend got a ticket for alowing an unlisenced driver to drive his car, and she drove thru the front window of a bagel shop, he was in the car tho.... i dont think law requires you to check for a valid DL if someone borrows your car. the bad part is YOUR insurance might not cover the accident and u may have to pay for the other guys bumper

A person violating this section shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 60 days, but if that person has never been licensed to drive in this State or any other jurisdiction, he shall be subject to a fine of not less than $200 and, in addition, the court shall issue an order to the commission requiring the commission to refuse to issue a license to operate a motor vehicle to the person for a period of not less than 180 days. The penalties provided for by this paragraph shall not be applicable in cases where failure to have actual possession of the operator's license is due to an administrative or technical error by the commission.
I am not sure what the penalty to him will be.

ya i know shes screwed as well as she should be

but i was to believe that letting an unliscensed person drive your care was pretty serious

o ya and wow a bakery window huh? i don think i wanna know how that one was acheived...i knew this girl in PA who on a permit was making a sharp turn and somehow paniced and kept the wheel stuck in the pinned right position and took out like 2 rows of fences

Bingo. It's against NJ law to allow an unlicensed driver to operate your vehicle. So unless he goes to court with her and perjures himself, he stands the chance of a ticket and some fines.

or says she took the vehicle without his permission, which would turn up the heat on the already boiling water that she's in. but, it would clear him of any wrong doing and keep him out of any potential lawsuits.

somehow, though, given your description of him, it doesn't sound likely that he'd do this.

ya i thats what i told him...just say she took it but no its too late for that, he would never do that anyway

Not sure about that, but his insurance company will probably take issue with the situation.
