Lexan rear hatch glass

Does any one have it? Is it on a street car? Can I tint it? How much lighter will a lexan rear hatch with a fiberglass trunk lid be then a factory glass/steal trunk lid be? whats the best kit? No rush, I will only get it if my deck lid paint is under warranty!

1.) Probably not DOT legal as it's not tempered glass
2.) It scratches pretty easily

lexan is safer then glass being it doesnt shatter.....it is lighter depending on what kind you get....some of my friends have it on their street cars....it is lighter but not by thatt much....

plus you want weight over the rear if you plan on making any kind of power.... i would keep the glass hatch back there and worry bout making the front half of the car lighter... battery relocate kit is a good start to transfer 40 pounds...

Im tubbing my car and pretty much going full race and im still keeping the factory doors, fenders, hatch, full glass, and even a steel cowl.

Lexan isn't DOT legal.
