It's time to put down that donut Mr. Fatso and get on that treadmil! Discuss. |
Good topic.
I'm not quite sure why the southern states would be fatter. Maybe it's the regional cuisine? |

Walking = exercise = burnt calories= less weight. On the other hand we have a southern states where it's hot and humid all the time. People in that state are not interested in walking, they drive from one air conditioned place to the next thus no walking and more twinkies instead. Twinkies + no exercise= extra fat. I might be wrong but that's how i see it. |
eh... i'd expect the agricultural states so be less obese

I'm thinking maybe it is related to income and food purchasing. Low fat and reduced fat food is more costly from my experience. It would be interesting to superimpose a map of per capita income over the fat map... Either that or all of the fat people have a vicious cycle of inbreeding that leads to generations of lardasses. |
cant wait till NJ turns red, then my soon to be single digit BF% will be that much more 1337

i never used to worry about my weight. my metabolism was high enough to eat just about anything and burn it off in a matter of minutes. since my 4th back operation, i've slowed down on my physical activity and recently weighed as much as 265. most people couldn't tell that i had gained that much weight because it was so gradual. i've since changed my diet, increased my physical activity and i can get into my 36 waist pants again. my goal is to get the 34s on, with a little room to breath, so my weight should be in the neighborhood of 210-220. that's still overweight for my height and age, according to the fed statistics.
