My most recent masterpiece...

Last weekend at atco, in the buy back round on friday, i win with a .008 package on the guy (i was .005 on the tree and ran on the dial with a 3), and crossing through the traps i hear a god awful chattering/clunking noise. checked the oil pressure to make sure that was good, killed it and coasted off the track. try to start and the starter just whirrs. we thought it was just a starter, someone was nice enough to donate on to us. then we find out that the converter ear broke off, the bolt pulled through the flywheel, and they took out the starter. the converter can just be welded back together, but here's the other carnage. i had to drive up to west paterson from atco friday night to get another flywheel, then we pulled an all nighter to put everything back together. unfortunately the rest of the weekend wasnt much better, but at least nothing else broke.

here's a collection over the past few years. this doesnt include what i did to my dads 4 speed, my first 350, or various jr. engines since those were pre-digital camera, and we didnt quite realize it would become a habit til later ;) lets just say i test the integrity of all parts

i still say your finest work was last years dragster motor. did not know a block could have that many cracks that big in it and not fall apart, and the internals were even better.

i dont drive any harder than any other bracket racer out there. my stuff just gets run every weekend, anywhere from 4-20 passes in a weekend depending on how many days i'm racing and how well i do. stuff is bound to break, and its bound to break real good

have you saved up the money to fix it afterwards yet? lol

all you need is cash to replace the engine, trans, rear, cigarette lighter(she will find a way), wheels, tires, shifter, floor mats, and anything else in, on, or near the car

lol she's got one hell of a reputation! but the way i look at it is, if it's going to break it's going to break no matter who's driving it. i think my son has broke more things on the car then i have. race cars are meant to be beaten. mines never driven easy.

cigarette lighter:rofl:

the lighter outlet doesnt work in my 79 anymore, and the lighter itself doesnt work in the jeep...
