As if my life didn't already suck this time of year God decides I need more crap to deal with. I'm driving back to work this morning at 3 am and I see those familiar eyes glowing on the side of the road. There was only one sitting there....so I thought. He had his little F'n friend sitting in the brush where I couldn't see him. As I'm getting closer the deer that I was watching didn't move but then all of the sudden one decides to run out in front of me. I SLAM on the brakes(50 mph) and yank the wheel to the left to avoid a head on collision. He hits me just infront of my passenger front tire.....BANG!!!!! I pull over under a street lamp, and get out thinking the worst. I walk around and can't see any visible damage....I was relieved, but took a look at it with a flashlight when I got to work.... Scratches in front of the passenger front tire, scratched front rim, and two places on the door where he bounced off(making slightly clean spots) also leaving scratches I'm so depressed......I hate my life right now.

EDIT: passenger front 1/4 panel is pushed in an 1/8 of an inch :( ......body work

chummmma 09-27-2007 04:00 AM

:( you ok poook?

LS1Hawk 09-27-2007 05:54 AM

That sucks man. Whenever I see a deer I always come to a complete stop. Chances are there's usually more than one because they usually travel together.

Frosty 09-27-2007 06:08 AM

Jersey_TA 09-27-2007 06:16 AM

passenger 1/4 is pushed in an 1/8 of an inch at the door seam also now that I got a look at it in daylight.....ugh body work

Mike 09-27-2007 06:39 AM

jersey,
if you dont have any connections down there for body work, and dont mind a trip, i might be able to talk to my dad and get you a pretty good price through his shop.

pm me. but i might not get it untill sunday evening becasue ill be at the swap meet.

mtnhopper1 09-27-2007 08:04 AM

That's a drag.

Back in 92 I was going to college in No. MI, and was in the car when my buddy hit a deer in his 91 T/A. Although he hit it head on at about 60, so it was a MUCH bigger mess. The deer nearly came through the windshield. The damage to your ride sucks, but it could've been worse.

Now that I've read the title of this post, I'm going have LL Cool J in my head all day.

i coulda sworn the car coming the other direction was going to hit it b/c they didn't even slow down for it

Jersey_TA 09-27-2007 09:41 AM

Thanks everyone :( I think I'm going to go to bed. Maybe she will be fixed when I wake up.

Ant'sWS6 09-30-2007 10:09 AM

That sucks Rob....Thank god your ok though!!! Poor Evette!!! :(

My brother-in-law (well almost brother-in-law...lol) got sideswipped by a tractor trailer hauling fuel last night. Jacknut truck driver tried to pass him on the left in the middle of him trying to make a left turn = Brenn's Dad's Ford F150 Ranch King (which he keeps totally beautiful) with a dented and scraped driver side door, crunched driverside quarter panel, crooked front driver side wheel with some suspension damage and a front bumper that is no longer attached to the truck.....sounds like it was a crappy week for nice cars :(

maroman88 09-30-2007 03:16 PM

sucks, a shopping cart hit my Z28 at work yesterday and destroyed my camaro nose emblem

SteveR 09-30-2007 08:37 PM

I'm sorry to hear about this :( Hopefully it's nothing more than a little body work.
