What a way to start the day

So this morning starts like any other morning:
Get dressed
Get the kids ready for school & such
Go outside to drive them where they need to go

I get out my front door and notice our 6 month old Minivan was sideswiped overnight last night!

WTF, of course it was a hit & run, no note, etc.

Though it looks like they left their mirror behind

Damage
Drivers door dented & scraped up pretty good
Drivers rear door dented & scraped up pretty good
Rear 1/4 panel scraped a bit but looks like it "could" possibly just be buffed out.
Drivers side fender dented & bent a good bit as well as being scraped & such.

So at a minimum I would assume the fender, 2 doors need replacing so who wants to guess on the estimate I get? hehe

Should we just buff out the damages that we can & not worry to much about it since it is the minivan & just take the money & run?

Dang that sucks Bill! Do you own it, or are you leasing it? Makes a big difference (IMO) if you're gonna keep it for the long haul, or only a short while. If short term (like 3 years or less), you'll take a big loss on resale value. Long term (like 5 years or more), it won't be as big of a financial loss. If it were mine, I'd have the insurance company fix it because I generally don't keep a car longer than 3 years; I get bored too quickly. ;)

i could probably bang most of it out for you. fill, primer and rattle can it for cheap. it's only 6 mos old, so the estimate is going to be on the high side. does it look like there's damage to the door structure?

dude that sucks, it happens to the best of us. it happened 2 me and my husband. a few months apart from one another.

dunno but it will need new doors they are banged up pretty good and a new fender, 1/4 panel will probably be ok just a little buffing might take it out.
