Guys I found the 2009 Camaro spy car

Ok I happened to be looking through youtube and came across this. I probly am the offical person to realize what this is. This is the 2009 Camaro with an LS7. They installed a 2004 Pontiac GTO interior on the inside. The outside body is the 2009 Yellow Camaro from the tranformers movie. Notice the Chevy decal on the steering wheel and the steering wheel looks like its out of a concept. I am so thrilled to find this. Pass this on and let others understand what this is. As of how I see it the 2009 Camaro will have a LS7 motor.

u can tell not only by the wheel but look at the side mirror and then look at the one on the new camaro

It's a 2010 Camaro....not 2009.

Are you saying its a 2010 because the LS7 option won't be availble the first year?

Tru2Chevy 10-02-2007 10:04 PM

I'm saying it's a 2010 because that's what model year the first new Camaro will be, and there is no guarantee that it will have an LS7 at all......

That's a GTO roofline/windowline. Maybe GMPP switched the steering wheel for this car??

Yea, I'm thinking they swapped a steering wheel knowing that it was gonna end up online....you know, just to get people talking.

look at the interior in this pic:

It's identical to the one in the video minus the steering wheel. Steering wheels can be changed people

in other places in the world the gto's had different names, like holden, maybe it was sold somewhere as a chevy

It was. In the middle east it was the Chevrolet Lumina SS. lol Go figure. All i can find is the 4dr verson of it tho for pics.

Oh and I know for the transformers movie, they converted a few GTO's over to the new camaro's body style for the stunts and whatnot.

foff667 10-03-2007 12:37 PM

Supposidly the transformers "Camaro" was actually a GTO minus the outside panels as they simply put the camaro body onto the GTO frame with the GTO interior. Just what I've ready & heard so it may very well be that car.

Yea, they did - but then it wouldn't have the GTO roof/window line like Kasey pointed out. I also think they switched the dash to be more like the Camaro concept one.

After it was mentioned above, I'm thinking that the car in the video could easily be a Lumina SS.....or it could just be a GTO with a bowtie on the wheel instead of the arrowhead.

Now that I remember the Transformer stunt car they had a Camaro dash but just the gauges were GTO. So now I am seeing how its a GTO with just a Chevy badge and an LS7.
