Rear shocks...
Ok, I decided its about time to replace my rear shocks. I bought the car a few years ago and the rear shocks were wasted. So I put the shocks I had in the 67 on the 93. They are coil over shocks and are deff. way to hard for the car. I forget the exact specs on them but I do know that they are an inch and a half bigger than stock shocks for the 67.
Anyhow I was thinking of going with a nice set of racing shocks. My step pops was say when he and his buddies used to race they used 50/50 shocks in the rear. This good for the 4th gens? IDK what to go with. all I know is that the shock in there now are to hard and has to bet part of the reason my launch is the suck. |
Yes, Lakewood 50/50 shocks. I think they use the same part number for 82-02 Camaro/'birds.

The 50/50 is a good shock for street/strip. You should definitely notice an improvement at the track. They certainly won't make your car an insane corner carver, but if the rear shocks on it now are pretty beat up, it will prolly handle better.

They are fine just really really hard.
