Tech question

On my school laptop I can't see 3/4 of youtube videos and the like. Whenever I click a link where the vid should be it says that javascript is turned off and/or i need to get the latest flash thingie. Well I got the latest javascript and flash but it still doesn't work.

Ideas? Could it be a firewall? And if so how do I go around it?

Is this laptop owned by the school or you? Who installed the software?

School. They did. All I do is log on. Obviously I would have to put the firewall back up if that's the problem.
