removed side molding
WHAT A DIFFERENCE everyone kept telling me to do it , but I just always put it aside. This is a must for everyone with these cars, something so simple but such a huge change. I just heated the adhesive with a hairdryer took off the molding, then rolled the adhesive off with my thumbs and cleaned it all up..(my thumbs are killing me today haha)
Im going to take a pic when i get out of class and ill post it up |
I have been debating doing this for like 2 years now on my car.

This is an excellent mod, unless your car was repainted at one point like mine.
!side molding FTW. Cars look much smoother without 'em!
Yea I saw it Ron, and it does look nice. So I guess I have to get un-lazy and do it lol!

i beet all of you, my 95Z wasnt optioned with side molding, factory !molding FTW!
That looks pretty sweet I may have to try it on th e Z. How hard is it/what is involved?
it was really easy..
1. i used fishing line to seperate the 1st inch or 2 of the molding off the car 2.pulled the molding very slowly as i had the blowdryer on high heat blowing on the adhesive 3.rolled off all of the adhesive with my thumbs(kills your thumbs after a while) 4.used bug and tar remover to take off the little bits of glue 5.waxed it up |
i did that when I got the car resprayed. its much nicer
looks awesome!
