a good tune, a good trans and a lil more improvement with my launch and i don't think 11.7x's are far. theres always more weight to take out if need be. off the top of my head i could think of a few things to knock another 100lbs off.

weight reduction FTMFW. i picked up .1 second and 1mph in the 1/8th and .2 second and nearly 2 mph in the 1/4. with almost the same 60' (only .01 quicker lol)

Wouldn't that be partally due to the slower shift he has to make going into 4th? lose momentum

it certainly is! im losing a solid 2 mph. i was trapping @ 114+ 114.72mph being my best, before the f'd up trans. :) i need 4th gear to carry me thru the traps and keep on accelerating !!! i wound 3rd out a lil more to make up for it

Congrats dude, I saw your car in line while waiting for one of the oil-downs. I got there early and made 4 passes from 5:30 to 8:00 then just one after that. The videos you take are awesome, the in car one is cool. Hopefully get into the 11's soon but for now 12.40s will have to do, car runs good for the limited mods I have done.

good work ron. did you drop the exhaust for this run? that is a fair amount of weight, i would guess some where in the 35-40lbs range. it is also low on the chassis, so it would be a help to weight transfer when launching.

i havent had my muffler on in a while, i just have my longtubes, ORY and stock catback piping, with a piece of pipe in place of the muffler, single exit as well :) I found another 161lbs i could take out as well, and thats still keeping my pwr steering, ABS, stock cd player and 1 speaker ( i like to listen to cds when i race :)) but something tells me it might look like a grand am next time :shifty:
