Spray paint rims
spray painting rims does it come out good?
possibly right after you do it. but won't last
yeh thats what i hear so i guess i won't do it
i heard cleaning them w/ some kinda acid comes out good
mine have lasted over a year, granted its just been sitting..
if you do it right it will, gotta sand the original clear off, prime, paint and clear, just like anything else.
i did my stock winter rims 3-4 years ago and they gettin beaten on all winter and they are still black with a polished lip! |
saw sombody spray paint there 97 30 anniv ed. wheels chrome, lets just say it looked like :moon:
As with most paint, it adheres best when there is 'tooth' for the paint to grab to. So if your wheels aren't roughed up very well the paint won't last long. If you were going to do it, I'd have them media blasted, then painted, and then clear coated for maximum longevity.

Paint usually gets f'd up when you have to have tires mounted/dismounted on rims, too.
