if you do it right it will, gotta sand the original clear off, prime, paint and clear, just like anything else.
i did my stock winter rims 3-4 years ago and they gettin beaten on all winter and they are still black with a polished lip!

saw sombody spray paint there 97 30 anniv ed. wheels chrome, lets just say it looked like :moon:

As with most paint, it adheres best when there is 'tooth' for the paint to grab to. So if your wheels aren't roughed up very well the paint won't last long. If you were going to do it, I'd have them media blasted, then painted, and then clear coated for maximum longevity.

Thats because it's not really "chrome". Chrome is not a paint and who ever attempted that endevor should of done his research to realize it was a futile attempt. If you repaint your rims theres a time consuming methodical way to do it. I painted the rims on my 91 Eclipse GSX (sold) and they held up really well but it took me about 3 days to get them right.:nod:

Paint usually gets f'd up when you have to have tires mounted/dismounted on rims, too.
