Tru2Chevy 12-01-2007 10:09 PM

I'm just making sure that you give out the right info....all the 3rd gen 4 bangers had the 2.5L Iron Duke....and we all know that the Iron Duke can't be beaten!!!

for a stock 305 i would suggest you jsut go to the parts store and get a rebuilt stocker. the q-jet is good enough for stock or mild 305's with no changes.
spend the money you save from buying a pricey carb on good stuff like rear gears and suspension upgrades.

TheBandit 12-02-2007 02:01 PM

save that money and buy a 350 /thread

camaro2you 12-02-2007 05:33 PM

If you want a brand new stock carb i have one here that was redone by holley if interested let me know via pm thanks.

Well you could do that too...but I actually meant the engine...Had a couple of buddies do the swap, didnt seem like too much of a pita. I dont know much about 3rd gens. but they said building up the 3rd gen tpi engines were a waste of time. Maybe it was just for their goals.

wretched73 12-15-2007 11:18 AM

Well i guess that voids my comment ><
