Dammit......
how come every time I fix something, something else breaks. Like last night in the snow, my master cylinder died. This AM BOTH brake hoses blew out. I can't win....So now I had to call out of work as I'm losing money, and now I have to deal with this crap. Any body wanna help me drive this car off a pier?
 let the offers roll in
would this be the car you wanted to install a 600hp 383 in?
at one point in time.....I've decided i'm buying a roller for that motor....this cars a bastard
20 year old beat on cars will do that to ya
yea I know....it sucks so much
Got the hose..might put it in...but I'm afraid something else will break  |
a flaring tool and a compression fitting will be your friends but if you can reline the whole system, sucky job, but worth it in the long run
EDit: i just realized he said hoses and not lines |
 yea...little bit easier...the crappy thin is the brake lines are fine...the fuel lines are toast...I know thats next....bound to happen

yea LOL that can go bad fast. The fuel lines are anothe times project...tomorrow i'm gonna take care of this crapola and see if I can't scrounge up 2c to go to the meet
I concur, compression fittings will work on brake lines as a temp fix, ive seen it work, but its never a good idea (and illegal) thats why i said its much better, and proper, to just reline the whole section.
http://volksweb.relitech.com/brakeln.htm Edit: ya know what, now that I think about it, they were not compression fittings, they were unions that i saw... woops, some bad advice there, my bad bubba |
I can sell you a more reliable car that runs.
for $1...cause thats all I got till spring. my job barely pays bills

Not even a temp fix IMO. Hey Bubba, welcome to old cars! |
haha I had less ***** with my busted a** V6....damn, O well
Welcome to the world of modification.
I believe it's been said before, but once you start messing with stuff, especially on an older car, things are going to break. Normally sooner rather than later.
yea I know...used to play with a 74 C10 back in da day...these are just anoyances

when i was 13......It was my old mans truck. I use to help him work on it. That truck had more issues than all of my cars. It was still bad ***. Holley 700, LT headers, cam, Muncie rock crusher, 3.73 12 bolt. that truck hauled...and left a trail of rust.
