I know that car!!! that was in issue of super chevy I believe. the guy built a 67-69 camaro and then sold it after he got done, bought this as a project, which it was originally a drag car, adn turned it into a road handling car. sux to see the end result of that

BonzoHansen 12-07-2007 10:57 PM

Bad Penny was fixed, I believe it made it to Sema this year too. He made a big thread on LS1Tech about it.

yeah, I dont know how i would be able to restrain myself when someone rear ends me cause he's too busy trying to get a sip outta his $5 latte. Those were original, rust free panels, and now they have to go bye bye, id be pissed!!

79dizZy28 12-09-2007 03:54 PM

I wish I could get a glimpse of that insurance bill. The insurance company must be like wtf??

transamkid 12-09-2007 04:01 PM

i know that feeling. except when i got rear ended it wasnt as nearly as bad

nj96z28 12-09-2007 04:20 PM

i would marry that car , but it would be kinda hard to explain to people.

amargari 12-09-2007 05:02 PM

There is also a huge thread about it on Pro-Touring.com

Well thats nice to see that people can give me the rest of the story behind this car. I dont go on any of these other sites.

zuuhlsT/A 12-09-2007 06:31 PM

I'm just happy the car got fixed and wasn't totalled out. That is a sweet ride.

Exactly. I know a guy with a $100k+ Daytona Coupe (really really nice, was written about in Motor Trend) who got rear ended (at a slow speed) by a mom in a minivan. Five inch scratch in the rear panel... $5000 insurance bill. He was laughing when he was on the phone with her insurance company because they were so pissed off. The insurance adjuster even said something like "Why do my clients keep hitting cars like this. It's not like it blends in very well on the road." LOL.
