I haven't decided yet...none of them really seem to fit what I feel we need as a president.
I'm note voting for ANY democrat. I keep an eye on what they're bickering about but my vote will most likely go to a republican. The problem with the democrats is they can stop fighting within they're own party. Thats like putting a man with a nervous disorder in charge. Not to say republicans are perfect, they're to damn gung-ho to change something. What that something is seems to be a mystery to me. Heres how I'm deciding my vote My 1st priority for a president is someone who has a clear cut plan to safely exit Iraq and leave a strong national government in place. Next is education, we need to spend money on raising the level of education in our nation. We have the most intelligent people in the WORLD right here. But the ratio of genius to dumbass is dismal. Obviously lengthening the school day is making matters worse, "No child left behind" is an abomination, and the intelligence levels and teaching skills of the average teacher are laughable. We need to elect a candidate that will spend money on researching new teaching methods that WORK. The next big issue is gun control. I'm for a system that is simple and effective. What needs to happen is every gun should be fitted with a tracking device that will send a 911 signal to a police hub if removed. the restrictions that stand now should be left in place. Now do me a favor, Forget about your feelings on guns, forget about your political aliance and think like a criminal. Now you need a gun, your going to rob a near by store. You can purchase a gun at a licensed dealer, or you can talk to that shady guy you met in a bar the other day. Your going to go for the guy from the bar. Todays laws require a Firearms ID card to purchase a weapon at a dealer. To acquire one you have to be finger printed at a local police station and pass a background check. ANY...ANY...ANY felony automatically disqualifies you, and any drug or violent misdemeanor will also. So now your going to get the black market gun that is not traceable back to you. Therefor defeating ANY law put in place. who do gun laws effect and in some cases hurt, law abiding citizens. Article [II.] A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. part 1 A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State meaning a militia if our state need it part 2 the right of the people to keep and bear Arms meaning the right to own a weapon and use it part 3 shall not be infringed. meaning the government can not take away the afore mentioned rights in any degree or limit or inhibit the right to own a weapon Next on my list of things to rant about, Health Care. National NO, Government assistance for senior citizen, absolutely. I'm talking about a %80 assistance for any medical related cost to anyone over 55. Now on to Illegals, catch em, send em back. Increase border control, which creates jobs for Americans. Out sourcing, Offer American companies Tax deductions for every 100 American citizens they employ. alright thats all I can think of for now. like I said thats what I want, and I'm voting based on THAT not who's from where or who gets slammed less. thats it. |

I stopped reading here because it shows how rediculously, incredibly naive and behind the times you are. The republicans are the current indecisive bickering queens here. |

a vote for Hilary gets Bill back in the White House.
best president this country ever had. yeah, getting a blow-job is far worse than sending the country into record-setting deficits to fund a war that was launched based on lies but wait -- after monica, all you Righties still love going ape**** about Whitewater. OK then, explain this to me, right-wing geniuses: because you folks wanted to nail Bill Clinton on whatever you could (or couldn't) find on him (so much for "you have to respect the president and support him because he's the president, and if you don't you hate America, right?), we the taxpayer spent millions and millions of dollars on a four-year partisan witch-hunt called "the Whitewater investigation" which was supposedly an investigation about how Bill and Hillary did something wrong LONG BEFORE they got to the White House...in a real estate deal they LOST money on. Fine. recently we had republican Speaker Dennis Hastert making at least $1.5 million in a blatantly ******** real estate deal, by buying some cheap boondock farmland, then passing a pork-barel bill to subsidize a highway running by it, then presto, a few months after it passes, cashing out and selling to a developer and making $1.5 million profit PERSONALLY (let alone his partners.) This, of course, is no big deal, and there was no investigation, of course. And anyone who wonders if, maybe, this is, like, ******** ...is gonna get called a Saddam-loving tree-hugging liberal faggot traitor, right? Why is that, exactly? Is being a Republican politician like having a license to steal and defraud the taxpayer? Maybe you're proud of this kind of "honesty and integrity" thing? Or are you idiots just so damn stupid that you don't have an opinion about anything until Denny "hey, it's only $1.5 million, what's the big deal" Hastert, or Rush "lock up all drug addicts other than me" Limbaugh, or Ann "I support terrorism and hate American victims of terrorism" Coulter tells you what to think? Or is it that you couldn't give a crap about any politician's scams so long as they are the particular guys whose pictures you kiss at night, and not the other ones? Any explanation would be appreciated, though I won't hold my breath, since the righties only know how to say "liberals hate America!!!" and that's about the extent of your abilities to communicate on any subject whatsoever. |
to all those who served in the military we see the far left as for what they are

Message from a Marine
During the entire history of the United States, a flag-draped coffin has been a symbol of pride and courage. Why has the Bush administration been trying to deny that brave men and women are offering their lives to fight for their country in this war ? Why are these deaths an embarrassment ? And why is the GOP trying to make the display of these proud coffins a political issue ? Is it because these soldiers are dying in a poorly devised war of absolutely no consequence ? What an amazing disaster we have created. By invading Iraq, we have destroyed Iran's greatest natural enemy. We have turned a nation that was opposed to al Qaeda into a haven for al Qaeda. We have demonstrated that the United States is a depleted military force that must call upon its National Guard to fight international wars and cannot successfully occupy a small desert nation. This can only have emboldened North Korea and Iran, and it has cost us the lives of thousands of our brave soldiers, countless billions of dollars, and international respect. President Bush would undoubtedly ask, "but aren't you glad that Saddam is no longer in power ?" Honestly, if I could place Saddam back in power and undo this war, I would do it in a micro-second. Saddam was not worth the loss of a single precious American life. He never was. Iraq was never a direct threat to us. In truth, it was an enemy of al Qaeda. It was the only nation in the region with a secular leader. As for those of you who are rabidly calling each other "libs," "Repukes," and "Dumbocrats..." You are immature and ignorant...truly unsophisticated and stupid. However, your conduct is evidence of a government that has been cold, divisive, and unable to bring us together as a nation. I am entirely convinced that Congress and this Administration have become too partisan, dishonest, and corrupt to be effective. I want fresh people in office. I want people who are willing to put country before party or self-interests. I want people in office with no agenda other than to manage this great nation effectively, and without drama. I will not vote to re-elect any incumbent in the next elections, even incumbents who seem like nice people. I will especially not vote for anyone who has been involved with Rove, Frist, Bush, Cheney, Rice, Delay, or members of any Congress who have supported them. Am I a "liberal" you ask ? No, I am a conservative. How could a conservative take such a position, you ask ? Well... There is nothing conservative about not protecting our borders. They are wide open. There is nothing conservative about spending billions of dollars stubbornly beating up Iraqi's while ignoring true threats of terrorism. Terrorism is a global enterprise that has very little to do with Iraqi's. There is nothing conservative about reducing Veterans' health benefits. There is nothing conservative about deciding to not honor international treaties, many which were drafted by Reagan and Ford. There is nothing conservative about cutting federal matching funds to police departments, reducing local police forces, and allowing immature gang punks to vandalize our cities, control our streets, and kill more innocent citizens than the 9-11 terrorists could have dreamed of. There is nothing conservative about proudly violating the 6th Amendment to the Constitution, and ignoring the 10th. There is nothing conservative about lowering taxes and then engaging in such out-of-control spending that we needed to raise the national debt ceiling to try to make it appear that we are financially secure. There is nothing conservative about creating tax incentives to "outsource" our best jobs to The People's Republic of China. There is nothing conservative about demonstrating shockingly weak military strategy, and not providing adequate armor for our troops. We need a change. For the sake of the nation, we need a change quickly. ...Paul Husband, Dad, Cop, American Vet 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, Vietnam |

Arguing over politics isn't worth it because there are no decent politics anymore. It doesn't matter who gets in what office. Industry controls everything and politicians are pretty much puppets. It doesn't matter if you're liberal or conservative, democrat or republican. It's always us vs them whichever "side" you choose to be on. We truly need more than 2 parties to have any hope. The people in office who choose to go to war get yelled at and blamed. The people in office who do nothing and allow the "bad guys" to build up strength get yelled at and blamed as well. I have not heard a single candidate with a reasonable or realistic approach and each seems to be missing pieces to the big puzzle. We need to work together and not take sides.
