all free will help oh yeah, and this www.getfirefox.com  |
find the name of the free program that you mistakenly dl'd when trying to get something else like Yahoo messenger. They always throw in their own search browser now. If it's called Pro-search bar go to add / remove in control panel find that program and remove it.

were the cookies disabled in IE? if they were... you most likely turned them off when you imported all your settings from IE when you installed firefox. turn em on. if that dosent work i have no clue
i have no idea!!!! but it is still doing it again and it is PI**ING me off!! like i will go back to click my page back and then this STUIPED!! quick! search (and that is how it is spelled on the pop up)pops up or sometimes it just logs me out of my IE
PLEASE clarify what you're talking about. Does it log you out of your authenticated internet sessions or does it just close the window.
Both and now when a pop up comes on and i click out of the pop up my IE logs me out too!!
did you download a spyware remover like they said? the spyware remover will most likeyl get rid of it. Try Ad-aware, i believe thas the name, anytime i had annoying problems like that ad-aware got rid of it. Also like shane keeps saying enable your cookies, if its just logging you out of forums and such its most likely cookies

it probably integrated itself into windows system files, kind of like what a root kit does. Try booting into safe mode (before the windows boot screen pops up press F8 ) and running various spyware and virus programs. Look up a program called Hitman Pro, it runs alot of spyware and AV programs automatically. this should clean out alot of crap, if not all of it.
i believe god programs should pick up rootkits by just running a regular scan. And get a good anti-virus. i suggest Avast!, best one ive ever had
