Wow, the roads were pretty empty this morning. We're open until 3 but I noticed a lot of places with empty parking lots today.

I'm working from home....

My wife is working today; she's an RN in a hospice center. I, however, am on vacation until January 2! :w00t:

work for about 3 hours. All of the shop guys were out so did what I needed to get done before wednesday morning and I peaced out

Public school jobs are awesome...off til Jan 2 :)

off today and collecting 8 hours of floating holiday pay for it :D

A few of my friends who work at a physical therapy place are working, along with another friend who works for the local 9, but thats about it.

I'm off till weds night... go back thurs fri and off sat sun mon and go in tuesday at 10pm

off today...we were supposed to work til noon but we just decided to all just not show up :lol:

Ahhh, Christmas Eve is always a nice day to work :-D

How do people tip you, do they just come out & meet you? I almost never see the trash guys. And when I do they are always different (waste management, not town employees).

Yea, waste management guys rotate routes. With us, every driver has "their own" route that they do every single day, so the residents know who their garbage men are. There was a couple tips I got that had our names on it (me and my driver). They usually tape an envelope with card and/or money to the lid (ontop and underneath) or just come out and hand it to us. A handful of them also put a note on the can to walk up to their door, which has an envelope taped to it. If its beer/booze, they usually hide it under a cpl of bags. Any way works tho

Cool, I will remember that. You guys work hard. The most I've done is cold drinks in summer, but I'm not home that much at that time.

Off till Wed then work Wed/Thurs then vac days till Wed 1/2/08 :)
