Nissan GTR tested 0-60, 1/4 mile
:shock::shock:
And the results were done on a crappy airport runway! Just wait for track prep! Then boost controller!?!? http://www.fquick.com/blog/GT-R_No_J...heir_Game/1070 |
It will be interesting to see how it stacks up in real comparo's on the same surface in the same weather with the likes of Z06, Viper, and whatever else they decide to throw at it....

interested in seeing a price tag comparison too. the Z06 has been the king of bang for the super car buck for a long time. is it possible that there is finally a challenger to that thrown?
|
I agree with Justin and Tim
|
it's no neon.
|
Not too shabby. I'm curious to see how durable it is too. Hopefully they designed it to handle more power than what its built with. I wander if it can handle some slicks and a lot of track time. All they need to do now is create a factory aftermarket for it like they did with the original NISMO and it should do pretty good.

7:50 in the N-ring, similarly a Z06 did 7:49 in similar track conditions. that thing has balls

I'm curious to see what it stacks up, however the ZR1 will own the road when it comes out. |
the ZR1 isn't really a bang for the buck super car like the ZO6 is. they are talking about close to double the price tag to go from ZO to ZR.
it will depend on how much less the nissan is than the ZO6 and if the ful spec car will ever see the road in north america in volume. remember, gm doesn't restrict production on teh ZO6. if dealers/buyers order it, chevy will build it. that has beenone of the knocks on most of the cars that companies try to challenge the ZO6 with, even if they are in teh ballpark on price or perforamnce, they are limited production vehicles. |

It did have the G35 look for sure. Prolly won't ever see it in the US though.

Damn, that is pretty damn impressive!
|
Hmmm!

it is based on the same platform as the G35/350Z from what i have read. all of the driveline components are obviously upgraded.
i hope they bring a version with some balls to the US market. it woudl be fun to see what the magazines test be teh same as what makes it to the street from a japanese company for once. |

either way this thing is awesome. it looks cool, has a fresh interior, and has the performance to go with it. and we should all be thankful because the big 3 are gonna step up their game with the viper, vette, and gt because of it. |
th transmission is supposed to be the same case and cluster as the FIA homoligated ralley cars use, jsut in a two wheel drive layout instead of all wheel drive.
i don't think the trans or final drive are in much danger, half shafts would be a different story. those suckers are doomed if it wheel hops like that all the time. |
