racing sponsorship

can someone give me a rough idea what is a reasonable cost to ask for full car sponsorship. i need to start get some racing money together and am willing to have my car decaled for the season to see how it goes. i just have no idea where i should start at if someone wants to have the whole car as a billboard. also if i provide a 24 foot trailer to decal, what would that be worth. will still be racing but if someone pays me to advertise that is just more days at the track.
any input on this will be greatly appreciated

It depends on alot of variables. How many times a month will the car be raced? What series does the car race in? A car that runs in a traveling pro type series may get more money depending on the business. Although a local business may not care since advertising in another state may do them no good. Prior racing accomplishments also make a differance. A company isn't going to pay top dollar to sponsor a car that dosen't go rounds. Remember, the more times it goes down the track the more exposure thye get.

look into contingency payouts as well.

the simple truth is that companies just want to know what they can get out of it. you have to be visible and available to potential customers of the sponsoring company and you have to be willing to talk up the sponsor if anyone happens to ask.
